Mount Seskin College Jobstown Tallaght 1
A great return to form from the OCS crew! Following our untimely exit from the Cup, OCS bounced back to form with a great display away to a strong outfit from Jobstown. Seskin College had the wind in their backs in the first half and duly took the lead when a long range effort crept inside the post. However the towering and impressive Jordan McCann was having none of it and he equalised with a low shot to the net following good work from the lively Gerard Loftus. With man-of-the-match Leroy Martin playing superbly in his new position of sweeper, OCS held out until half time. In the second half OCS took full command and two fantastic strikes from the in-form Evan Pierce along with a neat finish from the opportunist Ciaran Burnett put OCS 4 – 1 up at the end. The referee has to be complimented for the manner in which he did his job – he was quite unique in that he spoke to the players throughout the game and praised all their efforts in the very windy conditions. In fact, at the end of the game he knew the names of all 22 players on the pitch! Precious Adenubi was excellent for OCS on the left wing as was Conor Darcy up front as a striker. Paddy McGuinness was solid at right-full and Dylan Gifford and Indrajit Chhantyal gave nothing away in the tackle. Calvin Kanda was at his best in goals and Richard Kinsella was as reliable as ever when he came on in the second half. Also Jordan Wynne made his debut for the team as a second half sub and he showed some nice touches on the ball.
WELL DONE TO ONE AND ALL!
