Coláiste De Hĺde  2

At home for our last group game in the league, the boys from OCS ended their league group stage unbeaten as group winners with this narrow 3-2 win display against a solid outfit from Tallaght. An early headed goal from the flourishing Jordan McCann followed by a penalty rebound from the busy Ciaran Burnett put OCS into a commanding and deserved 2-0 lead at half time. However Coláiste De Hĺde scored two goals in the second half from set pieces and the game was set to finish level. However Jordan McCann had other ideas and his late header from a precise Leroy Martin corner sealed the deal for OCS.
Calvin Kanda was very good in goal and the 4 lads at the back, Leroy Martin, Paul Kinlan, Dylan Gifford and Indrajit Chhantyal were excellent especially young Paul Kinlan who was very solid in the tackle. Across the middle, Cameron Donegan, Evan Pierce, Ciaran Burnett and man-of-the–match Jordan McCann were excellent. Up front, Gerard Loftus and Precious Adenubi were sharp and always alert for the quick break. Indeed it was a foul on the busy young Loftus that led to the OCS penalty. Precious Adenubi is a real find this season and his darting runs and electric pace will cause difficulties for a lot of teams this year. Substitutes George Csog and Jordan Wynne were not used today.
