O’Connell’s made a welcome return to the cross-country circuit this week, marking the school’s first participation in the event in many years. Every pupil who took part successfully completed their race, showing determination and resilience.
A standout performance came from Nellvin Marianne, who claimed an impressive second place in his race. Teachers have encouraged the school community to congratulate Nellvin on his achievement.
The school also praised all participating students for their excellent behaviour throughout the day, representing O’Connell’s with pride and respect.
Students from Second Year who took part included: Joel Irakoze, Nellvin Marianne, Radwin Mahnavian, Tiwa Adetoyi, Blessing Nqobile, Lewis Weafer, Abdi Hassan and Jason Weldon. Representing First Year were Bobby Hand, Lee Connolly, JJ Kane and George Botescu.
With spirits high after this successful outing, the school is already looking forward to the next cross-country event in November.
