On behalf of everyone here in OCS, may I extend my best wishes to all the sixth-year students who commence their leaving cert exams today.
Our Sixth Year students have been an amazing bunch of young people. Over the past 16 months, they have demonstrated resilience well beyond what is expected at their age. They are a credit to our school and their families.
The Leaving Cert written exams commence on 9th June.
During the exams, there will be at least two metres between candidates and from the superintendent’s station.
In a standard classroom, the maximum density is 10 candidates plus the superintendent.
Masks must be worn by all personnel and students at all times.
If a student, staff member, or SEC superintendent develops symptoms that could be consistent with Covid-19, they should self-isolate immediately, not attend the exam hall or school premises, and discuss the matter with their GP.
The public health department will conduct a risk assessment and identifying cases and close contacts as appropriate.
We wish all our students the best of luck in the written exams and indeed the accredited grades for the leaving cert 2021.
